Admissions under Sports Quota
SRM University-AP is inviting applications from exceptional athletes and champions for admission under the sports quota for the academic year 2025-26. The sports quota trials have been officially announced at SRM AP, with admissions open for 14 different sports categories for both men and women. Admitted students can avail of a 100% scholarship on a first-come, first-served basis.
Eligibility Criteria
A. Nationality and Age
- Indian Citizens
- Should have attained the minimum age of 16 years 6 months on 31st July of the Calendar year in which the 12th Board/Standard/Grade or qualifying examination is held.
B. Eligibility to Apply
For UG Courses
- A minimum aggregate score of 50% or equivalent grade point in Class X for technical courses (B. Tech) and A minimum aggregate score of 45% or equivalent grade point in Class X for non-technical courses (BA, BSc, BBA, and BCom).
- A minimum aggregate score of 50% or equivalent grade point in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics in Class XII / Higher Secondary Examination (10+2)/ Intermediate (First and Second year) or from any Indian education boards recognized by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Delhi (CBSE, CISCE and State Education Boards recognized by the Board of Higher Secondary Education) (https://www.cobse.org.in/recognized-educational-boards-list/) for Technical courses (B.Tech).
- A minimum aggregate score of 45% or equivalent grade point 12 Standard / Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) / Intermediate (First and Second year) or from any Indian education boards recognized by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Delhi (CBSE, CISCE and State Education Boards recognized by the Board of Higher Secondary Education) (https://www.cobse.org.in/recognized- educational-boards-list/) for Non-Technical courses (BA, BSc, BBA, and BCom).
- Students appearing for their Class/Standard XII final board examinations in the current academic year are also eligible to apply. However, admission is confirmed based on meeting the minimum aggregate score of 50% or equivalent grade in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for Technical courses (B.Tech).
- Students appearing for their Class/Standard XII final board examinations in the current academic year are also eligible to apply. However, admission is confirmed based on meeting the minimum aggregate score of 45% or equivalent grade for non-technical courses (BA, BSc, BBA, and BCom).

For PG Courses
- A minimum aggregate score of 50% or equivalent grade point in Class X, Class XII/equivalent and UG degree for technical courses (B. Tech).
- A minimum aggregate score of 45% or equivalent grade point in Class X, Class XII/equivalent and UG degree for non-technical courses (BA, BSc, BBA, BCom).

C. Criteria for Admission
Under the University Sports quota, candidates can secure admission at SRM University-AP in two ways:
- Direct Admission without Sports Trials
- Admission with Sports Trials
D. Admission Procedure
Criteria 1: Direct Admission without Sports Trials
All candidates who have represented India in any of the following competitions are eligible to secure admission at SRM University-AP without taking the Sports Trials:
- Olympic Games by International Olympic Committee (IOC)
- World Championship/ World Cup by International Sports Federations (ISF)
- Asian Games by Olympic Council of Asia
- Asian Championships by International Sports Federations(ISF)
- South Asian Games (SAG) by South Asian Sports Council (SASC)
- Commonwealth Games by Commonwealth Games Federations (CGF)
Criteria 2: Admission through Sports Trials
All candidates who have yet to participate in any of the competitions listed above must take the Sports Trials for University Admission 2025.
Note: Preference for admission will be given to sports/ games in which SRM University-AP proposes to build/strengthen the teams for inter-university competitions.
After the sports trials are conducted, a merit list of candidates will be prepared and displayed on their official website.
After checking all the certificates and testimonials, the SRM University-AP admission process for Sports quota candidates will be complete.
