Mess
SRM University – AP provides a dedicated mess facility in every hostel, serving nutritious and hygienic meals throughout the day. Students are offered a balanced menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, catering to diverse tastes and dietary preferences. The mess ensures food is prepared and served in a clean and safe environment, maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene. With spacious dining areas and a focus on healthy eating, the mess aims to provide a comfortable and satisfying dining experience for all residents.

Mess Rules
- All hostel residents are automatically enrolled in the mess and remain members until they vacate the hostel.
- Switching between mess facilities is not allowed during your stay.
- The mess services are overseen by the university’s administrative team.
- Students are expected to maintain courtesy and good conduct inside the dining hall.
- A daily menu will be shared on the notice board and may change based on student feedback and committee decisions.
- Day scholars are not eligible to dine in hostel mess facilities.
- Residents can host their parents in the mess with prior approval from hostel authorities. Guest charges are ₹60 for breakfast, ₹80 for vegetarian lunch, ₹30 for tea/snacks, ₹60 for dinner, and ₹120 for special lunch or dinner.
- Meals are served only in the dining area. If a student is unwell, alternate dining arrangements will be considered on request.
- Students are not allowed to access the kitchen under any circumstances.
- Wasting food is discouraged. Fines of ₹500 will apply for the first instance of wastage. Repeated violations may lead to suspension from hostel dining facilities.
- The mess functions on a self-service basis for all meals.
- Food is served generously, but certain special dishes may have quantity limits.
- Students must show their valid ID and mess card to access dining services.
- Dining without authorization or payment will attract a penalty of ₹1000.
- Students are required to follow all instructions given by mess staff and respect the rules in place.
