Research Interests
  • My research interests revolve around developing low-cost VLSI architectures for Biomedical Signal and Image Processing but I am open to trying new ideas as well. My core objective is to design and development of a total embedded hardware system for the realization of a portable device. As a research fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, I was actively involved in a research project to develop a non-invasive blood glucose monitoring system using Photoacoustic Spectroscopy. My work was broadly focused on signal processing at the digital back end of it as well as to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the photoacoustic signal.
  • Noninvasive and continuous diagnosis and determination of pathological condition by analysing different signals and images received by the sensors attached to the human body leading to prototype development.
Awards & Fellowships
  • Appointed as the Student Branch Counselor, IEEE.
  • I am the part of the team which was amongst the winners of Indian Innovation Growth Program 2015. The team was initially selected to be amongst the Top 50 and then further shortlisted to be amongst the Top 30 from over a thousand applications.
  • Recipient of MHRD Scholarship, India (2014-2016).
  • I am also one of the members of Team IITKGP, who received the first runner-up title in the Healthcare Innovation World Cup 2013, funded by Boehringer Ingelheim (http://www.boehringer-ingelheim.com/) and organized by the Healthcare Innovation and Technology Lab (http://www.hitlab.org/), USA.
  • Our proposed project ‘FPGA Implementation of a Fetal Heart Rate Measuring System’ has been shortlisted as a finalist for CoreEL-Digilent Design Contest 2013.
