Research Interests
Our lab is interested in investigating the role of milk, probiotic and fruits derived extracellular vesicles on bacterial, intestinal epithelial, and immune cells. In this direction, we are investigating how milk-derived extracellular vesicles influence the microbial and immune cell populations in the gastrointestinal tract
We are working on improving and simplifying milk extracellular vesicles isolation processes. Furthermore, we are also working on separation, characterization, and elucidating the functional features of plant-derived extracellular vesicles, as well as engineering of hybrid extracellular vesicles.
Bioengineering of extracellular vesicles derived from natural sources to enhance target-specific delivery of various pharmacological molecules, miRNAs, and proteins
