Abstract

Protecting Industrial Wireless Sensor Networks (IWSNs) means ensuring that crucial industrial processes remain as stable and whole as ever. In order to mitigate the ‘Hello Flood Attack’ in IWSNs, this paper compares three optimization heuristic techniques: Genetic Algorithm (GA), Simulated Annealing (SA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). Genetic Algorithm (GA) progresses remedies, Simulated Annealing (SA) interactively fixes communication setup and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) upgrades features to elevate vigor. The study looks into how well each optimization technique enhances network resilience and protects against the negative effects of Hello Flood Attacks. There is also a benchmark scenario for comparison. These results offer valuable information on the development of safe, secure IWSNs by pointing out the benefits and drawbacks of these systems. © 2024 IEEE.
